Tummy Time

It seems that every time a glimmer of sun breaks through the clouds the designers practically tear the clothes off their models and send them down the runway half naked. It's like spring will never go by without the 'less is more' look being in fashion. But the question is which body part will we be baring this season, what 'barely there' item will you be wearing? Crop tops. These have been done so many times throughout the years and in so many ways, but don't worry the look we're going for this season is definitely not Britney Spears in the 90's

The look to go for instead is a loose crop top paired with high waisted trousers, shorts or skirt, so that just a sliver of stomach is shown. For the look the be most flattering the line of stomach shown should be at the smallest part of your waist. Many celebrities are wearing this trend:

Riot Act

In the most recent edition of Teen Vogue there is the coolest fashion spread called 'Riot Act' which shows a punk inspired look. I know, a few posts ago I said the new way to wear leather is a more feminine style, but fashion is always contradicting itself so the punk/biker look is definitely in as well.

I love the sharp lines which make the look more modern

Here are some other amazing punk inspired photos

Sorry if you prefer my posts which are usually a bit more wordy but I decided to mix it up a bit a do a more photo based post... it would be great to hear feedback on which you like more.

Gareth Pugh

I know I keep doing posts on collections and I'm sorry if this really doesn't interest you but I am actually IN LOVE with this collection and I seriously need to blog about it!

How incredible! I love the bodycon shapes with the simple colours and small details like the stripes or the interesting stitching. The look is so modern and edgy, I'm actually obsessed. It's like a cross between scifi and biker. Along with the clothes the make up is also really edgy and alternative.

Here are some looks on the high street that have a similar style

Milan - Just Cavalli

Milan Fashion Week began a few days ago and there have been so many collections that I have loved! But, unfortunately if I tried to fit them all into one post it would be so long that no one would be bothered to read it. So, I decided to blog about one collection that really stood out for me, Just Cavalli, and the show took place yesterday. I LOVE this collection because they managed to cram so many different styles into one collection but still managed to keep the looks cohesive and not let it get all random and messy. I have to be honest, I really don't like it when a collection is full of outfits that all look exactly the same with just one detailed different on each one. I mean where's the fun in watching 20 of the same dress walk down the runway? So this collection is perfect for me.

Here are some of my favourite looks from the show

The show started out with some quirky, yet girly, looks including lots of small prints and ruffles.

Then the tweed was introduced and a new edge was added into the mix.

A slightly hippyish look is seen, with these long flowy dresses.

The 70's influence this section with some very blue, denim on denim, looks.

To end the show the quirkiness is turned down, and a more sophisticated, glamorous style is shown.
