So I was casually stalking the Vogue website, as one does, and it says that the new trend is 'Modern Craft'. I looked at some of the pictures and to be honest it looks pretty cool, if maybe a bit too quirky for most people. The style is pretty much 'arts and crafts' looking clothes, with tassels and fringing and beads and feathers everywhere, as if a five year old got a bit carried away in an art lesson. But the look somehow works, probably because it's all toned down with a tan and nude colour palette, so as not to detract attention from the textural details. Since this style seems a bit hard to wear I'd thought I'd show you a few toned down pieces, or accessories of this style so you can give it go without going out thinking you look like a freak...
